Mary as a child

This is another statue from Brittany.  It lived in a grotto in my aunt’s garden when I was a child.  As you can see it had an accident many years ago and my aunt was about to get rid of it when my mother took it.  She and then I have had it since! It is Saint Anne and her daughter Mary who would give birth to Our Lord a few years later.

The statue is surrounded by parsley!  This comes from my DIL’s garden!   She had so much beautiful parsley!  Never seen such delicious, succulent parsley!
