Wayfarer Arcade

This Victorian Arcade in the centre of Southport used to be full of wonderful shops on two floors, was always beautifully maintained and full of shoppers, but now it is a shadow of its former self.
In a sign of the times, the shops are empty, save for two cafes that put tables in the arcade to give a semblance of bustle.
At least there’s a Christmas tree, but no Santa or visiting wide-eyed children.
Hopefully it can return to prosperity in the future….
