Fire, Fire!

Today the boys and I went to Magna in South Yorkshire. Its a Science Adventure Centre in a old Steel Works near to Rotherham. We've never been before and really didn't know what to expect.

We were the first to arrive which perhaps wasn't the best thing. It was in a huge, dark, cold steel works. Tommy was petrified and so was I we tried our best to convince him that all was ok. At one point I thought I'd made a huge mistake bringing him. I'm not good at feigning braveness especially when I didn't know what was round the corner. I knew we should have ventured over the penines to the MOSI as we'd originally planned.

Luckily after seeing the water area, which was light and bright, going back to the fire area didn't seem so scary. I'm so pleased I persevered with it as the boys loved it. When Mikey was this age I would have left rather than see the tears through, especially when I'm on my own.

Was a fab day though and we are all worn out, after so much play. I couldnt decide between this blip or this one! Typically my camera battery went flat half way through the day, so all the lovely blip opportunities later were missed. I'm sure we'll be going back soon anyway.

Hope you've all had a great Wednesday xxx
