Boosting
As a 50+ I wasn’t able to book my booster until 6 months after my 2nd jab … so mid-December. Having had Covid in September I wasn’t worried as I hoped I’d have lots of antibodies.
Then as the rules changed down to 3 months after 2nd jab, then younger and younger age groups could book … I started seeing a whole bunch of 50+s who still hadn’t had their booster appointment, yet also many much younger ones getting it very quickly as capacity increased in the system.
Josh - who is particularly vulnerable and should have had his booster ages ago - struggled with being in Scotland. The two NHS systems don’t work well and he’s lots of friends who had one jab in England then one in Scotland and now show up in both countries as not being fully vaccinated. It’s more of a problem in Scotland though as they have to show vaccine passports up there. Still he’ll be back here tomorrow, although we haven’t been able to get him an appointment here for his booster yet.
