After 'widening'

Spent the morning reading. Finished a crime story. Read a paper on post-partum psychosis.

Late this afternoon, I took the loppers and the new straw broom, and dealt to all the leaves, ferns and on and on that had led to the drive linking us to the road becoming so narrow my car beeps in warning constantly as I back down. 

After an hour and a half, there is more than half a metre on each side extra space. The challenge is to keep it unobstructed.
