Cockle Pickers

Day three on Davaar and we are not stir crazy yet,

Yes we did go fishing this morning in the deep water from the lighthouse rock but we did not catch anything. A little too early in the season. So we went cockle picking instead which was very pleasant in the warm sun. This is my OH with my eldest raking for cockles with Davaar in the background.

First day the sun has actually been warm so I shed 2 layered coats and my thermals. I think they were welded to my skin since we arrived.

What a lovely day of fishing and picking and sitting in the sun with my wine while the youngest paddled. Then we had cockles as a starter for our dinner and the children ate them all up because they had collected them themselves. More tomorrow please they have asked.

Roll on some more days like this although the wine stocks are starting to get low.
