As predicted, it was a cold but sunny day. On my commute through the country side, the view would have you think that it’s a regular warm-ish day. Around Yokkaichi and Ise-Wakamatsu, the view turned completely topsy-turvey. Cold and snow as far as the eye could see. It was wonderful. Passing those areas it suddenly became sunny again. Like another world.

My student explained that it was the 7 nearby mountains that cause the dramatic shift in weather. Fascinating.
