Spot The Kingfisher

Every time I walk past this spot in Northleach I wonder if I will get a fleeting glimpse of a kingfisher again, after seeing one disappear under the bridge over a year ago. I must have felt today would be the day as I upped the shutter speed as I approached. And there it was! I just pointed the camera and shot. Not in my top 100 best photos, but it had to be my blip just to record this wonderful and rare event!

He is bound to be blipped again before the season is over. It was nearly today as I have had a Joni Mitchell River earworm all day after listening to Radio 6 this morning (in the bath, as you do). They're putting up reindeer .....
