Looking up

Things are looking up weather-wise. A lovely sunny day if still rather cold; it's trying at least.

Sad news today about Iain Banks. A fantastic writer and from what I hear a thoroughly nice bloke. I wish him the best.

Susie and I are trying to cheer ourselves up over the lack of Spring by planning our holidays for the year. We've got a week in centreparks coming up (hopefully after Spring has arrived) but need some guaranteed sun for later in the year. So far we are close to booking a trip to Houston in September to coincide with the arrival of Susie's sister's baby. We are also considering a week away somewhere closer in between to tide us over. It's nice to have something to look forward to.
