Yesterday

We’re staying at Belle Mere’s for a couple of days. Yesterday there was a fire in some parkland about 1km away.

There was a flurry of waterbombing helicopters flying over the house, then after about 15 minutes it was all over, with announcements on the emergency app that everything was under control.

So the folks fired up the BBQ and cooked dinner. Poppy and I sat patiently waiting for the steak trimmings and we’re duly rewarded.
