Frozen Valley

What a stunning day! We took Katie to the Borrowdale valley with Pepper, for a walk. The lower valley was completely frozen and very cold and sunless. As we climbed further up the hill it became a little warmer and the clear sky and views were amazing. The little ash tree looks ok still. Pepper decided to take a shortcut through the beck and got very wet but seemed not bothered about the temperature.
We got home and Katie and I made chocolate roulade, pineapple upside down cake and an Eton Mess. All these to be eaten before Tuesday! Oh and we cooked a delicious beef rib roast for supper, and watched A Christmas Carol. So little preChristmas is going well so far!
