Wooden Church and DIY
Lovely sunny day today!
This morning we went to Marton to go for a walk. It took us through fields and farms - and although sunny, the wind was still pretty cold. After a couple of hours we came to this church - a wooden church from 1430 ish.
A lovlely pub lunch was reward for walking in the bracing wind for over two hours.
This afternoon I popped to the budget supermarket - you know, the one where you get everything for your sauna or everything for your horse, depending which day of the week you go......
NOW.... men like DIY, don't they???? So, when I saw this nifty little bathroom cupboard to fit underneath a wash basin, I was thinking entirely thinking of him (nothing to do with the fact that the pipes underneath our basin in the downstairs loo have been annoying me for the last 6 years)
However, he didn't seem overjoyed when I brought the cupboard home.
It's a flatpack thing, how hard can it be?? she said
It's the pipes at the back, they won't fit! he said
But it says it fits ALL standard pipes!! she said
Standard German pipes maybe... he said
Can't we make them fit? she said doing her best Puss in Boots eyes (Shrek!!?)
We can make it fit! he said and got out his tool kit!
Three different saws, three hours and a load of little off cuts later, we have a cupboard that neatly fits under our basin and hides all those nasty pipes :-}
I have photographic evidence , however I wasn't allowed to use for blip as surprisingly, he wasn't smiling in any of the shots..... and I thought I was getting him a little treat..... ;-)
