Scorpion's-tail
Scorpion's-tail Heliotropism angiospermum, is a small perennial shrub in the borage or forget-me-not family native to South Florida (along the coasts), the Caribbean and Texas. I live in North Central Florida and it does very well here as well. Our plants are covered with these blooming bracts which are about 1" (2.54 cm) long with a slight curl at their tips. Scorpion's-tail is a host plant for many of our native butterflies and the bees love it and it has been used medicinally too.
