Soda bread

When some people say soda bread they mean the wholemeal stuff baked in domed loaves and sliced, but my roots are in Northern Ireland so soda bread to me will always be dense white soda farls. They used to be not so hard to get in the supermarket but are currently like hen's teeth - perhaps due to Brexit, so I finally had my first stab at making my own. Not perfect - slightly overdone on the outside and just under on the inside, but still very tasty and I've some left to toast for breakfast. And I can totally see why this is what you would whip up to feed unexpected guests as they were the quickest easiest bread I've ever seen. Will definitely be baking again.
