Pot with History
Markova, Ternopil Oblast, Ukraine | Konica Minolta Dynax 5D | Industar-61L/Z 2.8/50.
I made this flower pot in early April, after a two-week illness (I had a fever and had trouble breathing). I really wanted to make something out of clay — that was the only thing I really wanted to do and what was in my power in those days.
It is made of wild yellow steppe clay, the lip of the pot is covered with wild clay from Kolomyia (high In iron), and it survived the firing on November 6 imperfectly.
