On the lookout

At 6.00am I woke to hear.......no wind.  Yay!  Some calm resumes.  Sadly, by the time I got up a couple of hours later it was back, as was the heat.

Again, I didn't see Minnie until well into the afternoon but at least today she was much more smoochy and playful.  Not that this chap was taking any risks - whilst other birds gorged on the fallen plums he stood on Minnie guard.

In COVID news, there were just 28 new community cases today; 57 are in hospital and 7 in ICU.  Great that the new case numbers have dropped so much.  This is balanced somewhat by the 22 Omicron cases that have been caught a the border which is a much greater concern now.  Nelson-Marlborough DHB is expected to reach 90% fully vaxed today  :)
