Small Tortoiseshell

I picked up a leaf in the lobby today and was surprised when it grabbed hold of my finger. It was a beautiful little Tortoiseshell butterfly that had probably (luckily) fallen off a log brought in from the wood store.  I put it on the window ledge but by the time I got back with my camera it was climbing up the blinds.  MrHCB persuaded it to go into a jam jar and then put it back in a dark corner of the wood store.  I hope it goes back to sleep again.
