And a walk up to the standing stones above the village. We left home with neighbours N and C just after 8.00, drove to the other side of the village and walked up the forestry track looking for a pathway off to the right. N found it and up we walked, in hind sight it was terrific, at the time the knee and hip complained all the way however we made it to the standing stones in good time although the sunshine didn’t. A blanket of cloud prevented the real thing happening but a good time was had by all including Bertie.
