Shortest day.

I took my photograph just after noon, and the sun was breaking through broken clouds, not far above the horizon on this, the shortest day of the year. It is good to think of the days starting to get longer now, even if they don’t get much warmer just yet.
A day at home, getting ready for our Christmas guests and planning N’s shopping list for tomorrow.
