No lack of footfall!

Biggleswade out of town shopping centre at 11.30am this morning. Hardly a space to be found. I thought it was going to be fairly quiet. No such luck. I just went to Marks and Spencer, Homebase and Wilkinsons.

I heard a radio interview on my way home where an expert on shopping behaviour explained that though car parks may be full we are shopping in a different way, bringing in less money in the tills. We no longer meet up with friends for a coffee or early lunch before we wander round the shops buying more than we planned to. Now we go into a shop, buy what we need and leave, spending a much shorter total time and much less money!
