Shortest day of the year

It's the shortest day of the year. #Thankgoodness My human hates these dark mornings & nights. We've had the lights on in the flat all day. Boohoo.

Went on a 2 hour walk this morning. Ann wanted to 'trial' part of our 'Christmas Day' walk. This is me at the top of East Craiglockhart Hill. It was a bit mizzly & drizzly.

This afternoon Ann went off to do a 'meet & greet' and then I got another little walk when she came home.

Got left 'home alone' while she nipped across the road to the local pub for a 'staff night out' for a couple of drinks. My human felt like a right old alcoholic??? She had a couple of large glasses of dry white wine. And the rest of them were drinking J2Os, Coke and cups of tea?????? Apart from Simone – she was on the brandy & coke. Lol. Anyway even though she's only worked in her new job for a month; she works with some lovely people. However, how long are the pubs/restaurants going to be open for? If 'Nicola' closes them down again................. then the whole of the hospitality industry will die.

Surely we just need to live with this virus? It's not going to go away. We've been locked up for long enough.

Oh and for those of you who follow our Blips regularly and have been following the saga of Ann not being able to get any LFTs.................... She's still not been able to get any in her local area or order any online but this afternoon, she managed to get the very last box from a chemist a couple of miles down the road. Yay!

…....................So here we are....................... one year on from last Christmas when we were told if we didn't see family & friends, then Christmas 2021 would be fabulous.....................

Obviously Christmas 2021 is NOT going to be fabulous.

…...............And we suspect New Year is going to be even less fabulous....................

As of today.................... everything in Scotland seems to have been cancelled.

#headingdowntoCornwallsoon Yay!!!
