Happy Christmas!

I love this hand -made card which arrived this morning from Scots textile artist Gillian Cooper. These hand made cards from artist friends are always a delight to receive.
 
An annual puzzle though are cards which arrive with just one name i.e. “George” or “Mary”. 
 
Every year I get one from a woman who signs herself Margaret.  It arrived today. Trouble is I know at least four with that name.
 
Once on a city break to Tallin (remember those days when we could nip across to Europe for a long weekend?) we visited their city hall.
On display were letters from all the heads of state and European royalty congratulating them on their independence from Russia, except one man who simply signed himself “Charles”.
