Living my dream

Lenticular

This lenticular cloud signals high winds, which weren’t supposed to happen today. But at 3 o’clock the gale suddenly stopped and left such an eery silence that I woke up from my snooze ;-)

Behind the hedge is the closest pub to home (a 15 minute drive) and incidentally where I celebrated my 60th. It closed three weeks ago, to everybody’s shock. The owners / managers refused to “discriminate against people who haven’t been vaccinated” when the Vaccine Pass system was introduced. So rather than turn a few customers away, they have closed their doors.

It is a great loss to the area and now we have to go all the way into Oamaru for a meal out. It may not be forever though, as the pub has just been put up for sale. Here’s hoping…

Today’s extra is of Bean keeping an eye on Tilda’s drive first thing this morning. Evidently yesterday’s conversation had been cut off prematurely because as soon as Tilda appeared they were off again. What a pair of clowns.
