Night ride in the light

The mid week night ride is now morphing to an 'evening' ride - we had our powerful lights but didn't need them until the last leg. I've got mixed feelings as there's something special about riding the trails in the dark, beating winter gloom, which I'll miss. But it was lovely this evening with the light - colours beautiful, snow on the melt. There was a good spirit to the group. Now I'm lusting after hot summer evenings with the smell of hill grass and the taste of dust from the trail
