Serene and still

This morning went by in a bit of a blur! I headed out for my run with my buddy and bored of the usual routes she suggested going a little off the beaten track. So we headed out onto the country roads. It was a cold morning of sub zero temperatures but we were dressed for it.

About 6 miles in we ran passed a familiar face and shouted his name and said hello to Rob. Rob is also a runner but I have known him since I was in my late teens and I did work experience at a law firm because he was a criminal defence lawyer. I met him first in the magistrates court 20 years ago!

It was so lovely to see him - and such a random chance meeting as he doesn’t live in my town anymore and is only here for a couple of days. It was meant to be! We got a bit cold standing and chatting but finished up nicely at just under 10 miles!!
