Chawton House

We had a lovely visit this evening to see the Glittering Gardens light trail and also the beautiful Christmas decorations, all handmade by the volunteers. There was a ‘Twelve Knits of Christmas’ theme, plus a teddy bears’ tea party upstairs (extra) in the room where Jane Austen used to sit and read. The dining room was all set up for Christmas dinner; fellow blipper DawnAgain and I once sat at that very table when we went on tour with our crochet group. But that’s another story.
