Floored
Or pavemented, rather.
Adam Smith, author of "An Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of The Wealth of Nations", is buried in the churchyard of Canongate Kirk.
There is a trail of these plaques guiding visitors from the pavement outside the kirkyard to the grave. It strikes me as odd to have placed these portraits in the ground, to be walked over unwittingly by all and sundry. Are the maker and the custodians of the kirkyard trying to say something?
