What. A. Day!

Over to my Dad's this morning, and over there things are going as smoothly as could be expected. As the morning went on I realised I was getting the start of a cold. I don't have TIME to feel rough!

Grace picked me up and we went to Tesco. I got a few bits for my Dad, stuff for us and another stocking filler or two. We came home and that's when things went a bit bonkers. As soon as we walked in the door I realised I could smell gas. Zeph and Grace agreed. We soon realised Grace had left a ring on the cooker open and unlit. For two hours!!

It's a good job we didn't switch a light on or anything. We opened all the windows and doors, having shut Minstrel in the front room! It was dark and it was cold! I had one hour in which I could relax before getting ready for work, maybe get my Blip posted etc. I spent that hour standing in the dark hallway panicking and freezing in the dark whilst calling/messaging Brian about the situation.

I panicked more when Brian came into work for his tea and said that when he let Minstrel out of the front room he could smell gas in there. I wanted him to call the Vet, but he said Minstrel was fine. He seems fine to me now I'm home but I'm still a bit worried.

I struggled a bit at work with my cold and how chilly the shop was, but it wasn't too busy nor too quiet and it was a long night but OK. There was further drama when I was tidying the salad fridge and heard a loud bang. I looked up and saw that the large plate glass window at the front of the shop had cracked top to bottom. That will be very expensive to replace! I thought someone had thrown something to begin with but it appears it just spontaneously happened.  It's being fixed tomorrow, as it is quite dangerous. See Extra, taken from inside. You can see a reflection of the TV and fridge in the window as well as the crack!

Jeri messaged me to see if I fancied meeting for coffee tomorrow. I had to decline - I wish I could but I've still got stuff to buy and wrap and just two days to do it! I'll probably just do it all if things go smoothly!

My photo was taken outside a sweet shop in town as I walked to the station today!
