Christmas blooms

A very miserable day weather-wise: drizzly, misty, and dull, so I wasn't sorry I had planned to stay in to do some Christmas cooking. I made a nut loaf using a mixture of pine and cashew nuts. Then phoned friends to arrange a walk next week. Later, phoned my Mother and was relieved to learn my sister has arrived there, from Cornwall, for Christmas. The trains between Redruth and Paddington  and then to Watford were all running to time.
My blip is of my indoor paperwhite narcissi (Narcissus papyraceus) which are just coming into flower. I do love their scent.
