What a Cracker!
Christmas at last... really hasn't felt like it at all, but this evening, we got stuck into making crackers for our vaguely British get-together on the 25th. There are three small girls involved and their Mum was regretting the lack of crackers (they were expecting to be in NY), so decided I'd see if we could make them.
This one was the prototype; we've made ten, but leaving filling them till tomorrow, as the jokes, the hats and the gifts are all specific to each person, so it'll take concentration. The bangs we'll have to make with our voices, you can make them with party poppers, but couldn't find them anywhere.
Quite an eventful day, including prayer walking in town, a delicious tuna and cheese toastie at Morango Bar, Mike helping a neighbour deliver a dead lamb, and then rushing off to see why Nettie's electricity (and therefore water) had gone. Plus the vet's last visit.
Gratefuls:
- that I forced myself to do the washing yesterday; it's rained most of the day and no sun until a deep pink post sunset
- feeling a lot better, just really washed out (I was fine with the first two, AZ; this one was Pfizer)
- crackers that at least look like crackers (and have no plastic in them, plus some good jokes)
