1. Tonight there's a Black Watch opening night. Familiar but important ground. Very important ground.

2. Tonight there's the young advisors and the guests and all that stuff and I mean lots and lots of stuff. Fluff.

3. Tonight there's this show and this cast. I haven't seen it in a while. I know the words and how I think they should be said and I hear them fresh.

4. Tonight there's a guest night and a speech and mingling and small talk and tattoos.

5. But in it all there's a story. A story to be told. It doesn't date, it doesn't change. It is constant. Like a golden thread.
