Rainy Day Color

We got a walk in between raindrops. Grey skies always make color pop. 

For those of you waiting to find out, the second batch of panetonne was much better than the first! I've almost got that spongy texture I'm looking for.  I think I baked it just a tad too long, but as you can see from the Extra, it doesn't really matter, as one loaf is almost gone. It does look like wolves have been at it, but we are trying to slow down and cut it nicely. I may try another batch before the holidays are over, just because it's fun to play with the dough.
