Today has mostly involved watching Private Eyes with Miss E. And eating mini Daim bars, peanuts and mince pies. And drinking Baileys. Not Miss E obviously!
She loves a good detective duo - Death in Paradise, The Mallorca Files, Shakespeare and Hathaway. It’s lovely to watch with her.
Mr K and I did drag ourselves away from the TV for a walk into town. Apparently you have to walk fifty miles to walk off the average Christmas dinner (average being one Yorkshire pudding, two roast potatoes, one mince pie…… so I think we’re fighting a losing battle!!!) But walking a couple of miles up and down into town seemed better than nothing.
It was damp and dull and I cried most of the time.
Miss E got a message from Norway while we were out telling her that her Christmas presents were on the armchair in the front room of my mum and dad’s house. We weren’t sure if they’d gone or not as we haven’t heard from them since we said we’d made the decision not to go.
And now we know.
