Flor de nochebuena.

Poinsettia is also called the Flor de pascua (Easter flower), but mostly this, as nochebuena is un día antes de Navidad, or Christmas Eve. It's a small Mexican shrub with large showy scarlet bracts surrounding the small yellow flowers, popular as a houseplant at Christmas. I know this isn't yet Chistmas Eve, but had to take a photo of the remaining bits before all the leaves finally fell off. I think maybe I overwatered it. ;-)
