Simple Things

When we left NH, we left most of our furniture behind - selling or getting rid of most of it in some way as most of it was worn by years of family love.  So we're sitting in our "living room" on beach chairs and carpet, see Extra.  We've ordered a new couch and chair back in September, but who knows when that will be here - hopefully soon as they said 20 weeks back then.  The little ceramic tree was painted by my mother and given to us our first Christmas, nearly 50 years ago, but it's a bright spot this Christmas more than others.  This is the view into our back yard.  Looks so pretty at all hours of the day and night and the flatness of the terrain here (unlike the Granite state of NH) gives us a great sky view when it gets dark.

Ben has the next 3 days off and someone in his sober house has tested positive for Covid so he's hanging out here with us for the weekend.  The layout of the house is such that he has one end of the house and we have the other and the kitchen and living areas are somewhat in the middle.  He has had no contact with the person who has had flu-like symptoms but is otherwise ok.  The temperatures are predicted to be in the 70s for the weekend so hoping to get out to the beach at least for a walk.
