A festive greeting!

When dawn was breaking the sky showed a red streak across the horizon and through the dark clouds. The glimpse of nice possibilities in the day were short-lived as the clouds descended. We decided to abandon our planned walk for something more familiar where I spotted this previously unseen sign on a gate. It appealed to my sense of humour.
It is raining now and is forecast to last through the weekend with the possibility of some sleet and snow.
