Too much excitement

Joe came home with his girlfriend last night. Everyone played cards, had a meal then watched a film together.

She tested positive for Covid this morning.

She’s so upset, nothing the poor thing can do about it. She took a test yesterday and was negative but this variant is everywhere it seems. Joe has been with her a couple of days. He was negative this morning but staying in his room on his own now his girlfriend has gone home. If he’s still negative tomorrow then the five of us will press ahead with Christmas dinner together so fingers crossed. We were all in such close proximity last night that you have to fear the worst. It’s a bit of a festive waiting game now for us all.
