Waiting patiently
Slept ok, but was very late to bed last night!
Up and ready by 9.30, places to go, people to see, as they say…… first stop a coffee to get me going, wasn’t hungry after my treat at the curry house with sis and BiL last night.
A quick visit to Aldi for a couple of things for Boxing Day, as middle son & two eldest granddaughters are coming for a visit :-)
Back home, called to see D&E nextdoor, to tell them that i wont be joining then for New Years Eve as planned, because we are having our rearranged Christmas on NYE.
They understood, think we are all slightly disappointed, as it was our thing with hub each year, but we are going to do it on another night. I had a cuppa and a mince pie whilst we chatted for an hour before going back to sort out my overnight bag, empty the bins before locking up and leaving for my sis’s for a couple of days.
Last thing was to go into the summerhouse and sit with hub for a while, I told him all our trials and tribulations, I does feel as if he’s had a hand in things. I think that we will all fair better and cope better with things if we are with other people, rather than breaking down and upsetting each other and not being able to lift our mood. Being with other family members……. they will more easily be able to divert our attention maybe, well its a theory anyhow :-/
Packed the car up, stopped off at covid central, dropped off daughter, partner and granddaughters pressies, left them on the door step, stepped back, masked up, Emily, who has now had 3 back to back negatives took them indoors and put my gift bag on the doormat. D nextdoor had lent me his litter picker, lol, which I used to retrieve the bag and deposit it in the boot, where it has stayed for now.
I am now safely settled at my sis’s, where we’ve had a lovely mushroom risotto for our Eve dinner, with a chilled Viognier. Kobi was waiting patiently for his treat, the leftover parmesan ;-)
Sis was unaware Ive sneaked this pic of her preparing Kobi’s dinner…… which again he was waiting patiently for!
We are on our second bottle of wine now, settled in front of the tv…. watching Gino cooking, nice on the eyes ;-)
Hope you all have a Merry Christmas, however your plans have turned out x
