It is NOT Friday

Far from my usual thursday night at Burgundy's Kendal, this is a jazz gig at St Blaise du Buis near Grenoble, France. The recception for the Kendal Choral choir, who will sing the Messiah on sat night with Toutes Aures, the French choir, included a jazz group. And so it was heaven for me!

The guy on the left is Ludovic, the French reeds man with Isabella on the right who was on bass guitar. They were with others - guitarist, keyboard, drums and precussion. It was a brilliant sound and as all the others went off to have their Fondue supper, I just stayed and enjoyed the jazz immensely and of course was totally inspired to paint these two.

Their english was as good as my French! - but we managed somehow as we do!
