Fair To Middling

After yesterday's frozen fingers, today was almost a pleasure. It began with an attempt to photograph a pair of ospreys camped out on the ice. One stood on guard whilst the other pecked at the ice. Although I got out the big lens, I couldn't get close enough without spooking them.

I saw a bit of colour as I went down to the lake and as the day drew to a close the sky reddened some more. The reflected light brightened the foreground for me in the image.

Extras: Searching and Frosty.
