What Christmas day looks like in New Zealand

No commercialism, and no people!

We did have a turkey dinner with all the trimmings, cooked on camp stove. We were too full for dessert so well be having that for tea.

Then we headed down to the lake for the afternoon. No one else was at the picnic area, and very few boats were out on the lake. Just us, the dogs and the bird life. Ducks, scaup, coots, grebes, shags on the water, fantails and shining cuckoos in the trees.

30 degrees C in the shade.
