Not a white Christmas, more a grey one...
Making the best of a bad job, it was decided that the hill fog and drizzle would make the perfect atmospheric opportunity to visit Arthur's Stone nr Dorstone, Herefordshire. The narrow lanes, fog-filled between the hedges, were pretty much deserted apart from a couple of low-viz dog walkers (our brakes work!) and a suicidal jogger in dark clothing on the wrong side of the road...
Arthur's Stone is great, though - the remains of a Neolithic chamber and a bit of the mound that once covered it. Someone has been here recently and left a Solstice offering of a red apple and a posy of evergreens. I nearly drowned the camera in drizzle, but managed to get this shot before giving up and simply enjoying the place. We'll come back another day when it's clear as I think the view is probably fantastic, but meanwhile today here's the 'atmospheric' version.
