It’s all Too Much

Christmas Day, a long, mad rush
Cook the turkey, find my brush
Set the table, pour the wine
Bring the food out, seat to dine.

All food eaten, play some games,
Time to go now? That’s a shame.
Buster thinks he’s all worn out.
The day must end now, there’s no doubt.

Buster is an old man now, our daughter’s dog. He was ever hopeful of getting the turkey but looks like he’s had enough of all the excitement  now.
