Red browed finch

I could hear lots of small bird chatter in the shrubs and sat and waited patiently for one to fly to a perfect spot so I could nab a blip.   There were Fairy wrens, scrub wrens and this red browed finch.

Maggy was keeping me company and so of course none of them came close enough.   This one let me take a few shots and then flew off so this will do.  Almost a Santa hat if you don't look too closely.

As I type this a cockatoo is causing havoc on the deck so I must rush and shoo it away.   The things you have to put up with in the city....
