Misty moisty evening

This was the scene on our Boxing Day afternoon walk today.  It is just a short walk away from a ford which often catches drivers out, as it obviously did today as evidenced by the supplementary photo. Apparently this happened this morning. The stream is swollen by the recent rains but still not that deep and we were told by a local resident that the occupants got out of the car ok. However the car is now wedged against the footbridge awaiting rescue!
