Too much information

I can't say I spend a lot of time reading crisp packets, but this one caught my eye as I was having lunch on the train home from a meeting. I'm all for high standards and knowing the source of foodstuffs, but really, how much information do you need about a crisp? In case you're interested, the particular type of potato in that batch was called Hermes. There, that's important to know isn't it? I wonder what someone in the third world would make of our obsessions?
