It snowed on the hills overnight but rained in the valleys. My walk took me along the Under Loughrigg road, pictured. I expected to see more people and was surprised that there were roadside parking spaces. When I walked back past the shops only the main food ones and a small number of the outdoor clothing shops and cafes were open.
