The Cats' Big Day

Every year or so Mittz and Pebbz original "parents" come to see them. This has continued since the cats came to live with us 10 years ago. Sometimes it's just MummyL who still misses them very much. But today it was the family: MummyL, DaddyS and two delightful children.

Of course there are problems with the visit..mainly the fact that Pebbz does not remember the past and will have nothing to do with them. It took me a long time to persuade her to come in from the garden where she was hiding. Eventually she came in and stood for a minute or two in the room and then she went.

Mittz in the meantime had an hour of being stroked, tickled and cuddled by MummyL and the children. Mittz was in ecstasy! We talked about their cats' early years, Mittz ill health now and Pebbz' individuality. They always say that we have given them a wonderful life which is such a lovely thing to hear.
