“Test, Test, Test”
Well, I expect this won’t be normal forever! But for now frequent or even daily testing has enabled us to lower the risk of meeting loved ones over Christmas - people not in our household. I’m thankful for the availability of tests provided for so many months by the UK government when this has often not been the case in other countries, even affluent ones. Just one of several ‘tools in the toolbox’ in fighting the pandemic and keeping things as safe as possible!
So this was the lineup for today in our family group - three households.
It was a quiet and relaxing Boxing Day. It’s my favourite day of the whole Christmas period, with Christmas Eve coming in at a close second. We slept in, had a late morning brunch, played games, read books and watched movies or musical Christmas Specials. My youngest nephew and his small family joined us this afternoon.
By late afternoon we had our Boxing Day feast - lots of leftovers including goose, ham, Bubble and Squeak, bread, pâté, and cheese. More presents were opened this evening.
A perfect Boxing Day!
