A Box of Books

I received a big box of books today. They were all the same though and I have written the book myself, so no interesting reading awaiting me. I just ordered 15 of them from the publisher, so I have them to sell when I teach at seminars and workshops.

The book is called It's Showtime and it is a guide to Heelwork To Music and Canine Freestyle. It was published in 2008 and I am proud to say that it has sold quite well :).

I love the cover picture. It is me with my two old boys Whisper to the left and his dad Robbie to the right. Having this picture taken was hard work! I met with the photographer 3 times before we had a picture that both the publisher, the photographer and I were happy with. It was so unbelievable hot the last time we met. I got the sun in my eyes, but was not allowed to close them as it would look bad in the picture and my costume was so hot. The boys were thirsty and tired, but we had to make it look like they weren't panting too much. It was just really really tough and I was sure the publisher would turn the pictures down again and we would have to do it all over some other day, but then the photograper (Vicky Bjerring) sent me this picture and I knew I had to convince the publisher to use it as I just loved everything about it. Luckily it was never a problem. She loved it too.

Oh... and the photographer lost her car keys whilst working, so when we were done taking pictures, we spent another hour in the burning sun looking for her car keys. Eventually she found them in her bag! :-D
